Emily

Hello! In regards to your recent edit to Emily's page, Clint is friends with Emily but Emily is not friends with Clint. How can this be, you ask? If you refer to Template:Infobox villager, you can see that the "Friends" field should be limited to villagers who will give gifting hints about an NPC. Clint will tell you what gifts Emily likes, but Emily won't tell you what Clint likes. Clearly, in the game, Clint has strong feelings for Emily, but his feelings aren't reciprocated. Emily is friendly with everyone who spends time at the Saloon.

I hope this helps explain things. I have been looking at ways to improve the clarity of the field in the infobox, but there's no easy solution. In the meantime, thanks very much for your understanding! margotbean (talk) 18:12, 14 September 2022 (UTC)
