Hardwood is collected when chopping a Large Stump or a Large Log with an axe. The large stumps found in the Secret Woods regenerate every day, providing a reliable daily source of up to 12 Hardwood. It can also be received as loot by destroying various barrels and boxes in The Mines.
Hardwood can be can be used on a variety of different things, including building and upgrading buildings with the Carpenter and crafting various items.
Hardwood can be part of a community center bundle.
