Large Stumps and Large Logs are the main sources of Hardwood in the game.
They can initially be found on the farm, and in the area around the ranch. Once harvested, they will not respawn, with an exception of the Secret Woods, that contains 6 Stumps you can harvest daily for a total of 12 pieces Hardwood per day.
Large stumps can be harvested by a Copper Axes and higher upgrades.
One stump drops 2 pieces of hardwood. It takes 7 hits with a Copper Axe, 5 hits with a Steel Axe and 3 hits with an Iridium Axe to break the stump, making it the hardest and most resistant form of wood in the game.
