Artisan goods are items that can be created on your farm by various processors. They can take anywhere from a few hours from a few days to be processed, and require only one ingredient (or none, in the case of the Tapper/Bee House). Most Artisan Goods don't have a star quality and the product does not take account of the star quality of the ingredients used.
+
Artisan Goods are items that can be created using Artisan Equipment. They can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days (in-game time) to be processed. Most Artisan Goods do not have a star quality, so the star quality of the ingredients used is ignored. The only exception is the Ostrich Egg, the star quality of whose artisan product will match that of the ingredient.
After reaching Level 10 at Farming and choosing the Artisan Skill, all Items are worth 50% more.

Mayonnaise Machine
+
If the Artisan Profession is chosen after reaching level 10 Farming, Artisan Goods will be worth 40% more (with the exception of Oil and Coffee). Tree Syrups (Maple Syrup, Oak Resin, and Pine Tar) do not benefit from the Artisan Profession, and are not included here. They are labeled as "Artisan Goods" in-game, however. (Their value is instead affected by the Tapper Profession.)

All eggs can be made into mayonnaise. Using a Large Egg or Dinosaur Egg will always give gold star quality mayonnaise.
+
One Artisan Good, the Piña Colada, can be obtained only from the Island Resort on Ginger Island on Sundays when Gus tends the bar there.

A Bee House produces Wild Honey every 3 days.
With the exception of Sunflowers, the Bee House can produce unique types of honey when it is in range of a blooming flower (within 5 tiles horizontally, 4 tiles vertically). When there is more than one type of flower within range, the closest flower takes priority. At equal distance, more expensive flower takes priority.
Bee houses can be placed inside the Greenhouse, but will not produce honey.

Keg
Quality of ingredients and level 5 Farming profession makes no difference to the finished product. The value of the finished product is determined using the base value (i.e. with no silver or gold star) of the fruit/vegetable . However, the preserved version is always more profitable than even gold star produce, although the profit margin is lower compared to normal produce. The product has a prefix of the ingredient used, Ex. if Crystal Fruit is used the item will come out as Crystal Fruit Jelly.

All eggs can be made into mayonnaise. Using a normal chicken Egg will produce normal quality Mayonnaise, while using a large chicken egg will produce a gold star quality Mayonnaise. Using a Golden Egg will produce three jars of gold star quality Mayonnaise.

{| class="wikitable sortable"

An Ostrich Egg produces ten (10) jars of Mayonnaise at once with the same star quality as the egg used. This is the only case where the star quality of the ingredient matters.

Keg
The price of Wine and Juice is not affected by the quality of the ingredient or the level 5 Farming profession. The end price will always be based on the selling price of a normal quality fruit or vegetable. Kegs are typically considered best for long-term results at growing a mass amount of Starfruit and turning them into Wine can be extremely profitable but takes a long time.

Cask
The Cask is a piece of equipment which takes wine and cheese and can age them to increase their quality and value.

Aged items in casks can go above "gold star" quality to reach "iridium star" quality, the highest level of quality. Iridium star level quality doubles the value of an item. Different types of items take longer or slower to age. Wine takes the longest... it takes 2 seasons of aging to go from basic wine to iridium quality wine.

Revision as of 20:38, 15 April 2024

Artisan Goods are items that can be created using Artisan Equipment. They can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days (in-game time) to be processed. Most Artisan Goods do not have a star quality, so the star quality of the ingredients used is ignored. The only exception is the Ostrich Egg, the star quality of whose artisan product will match that of the ingredient.

One Artisan Good, the Piña Colada, can be obtained only from the Island Resort on Ginger Island on Sundays when Gus tends the bar there.

Processing Time

One hour = 60 minutes from 6am to 2am, but 1 hour = 100 minutes from 2am to 6am.

Production Machines

Production machines make products over time without any additional input.

Bee House

Main article: Bee House

A Bee House produces Wild Honey every 4 days.
The Bee House can produce unique types of honey when it is in range of a blooming flower (within 5 tiles in any cardinal direction). When there is more than one type of flower within range, the closest flower takes priority.
Bee houses can be placed inside the Greenhouse, but will not produce honey. Flowers placed in garden pots will also not cause bee houses to produce flower honey.

Processing Machines

Processing machines take one item and turn it into another item after some time, usually of greater value. Unlike production machines, processing machines require the player to input an item.

All eggs can be made into mayonnaise. Using a normal chicken Egg will produce normal quality Mayonnaise, while using a large chicken egg will produce a gold star quality Mayonnaise. Using a Golden Egg will produce three jars of gold star quality Mayonnaise.

An Ostrich Egg produces ten (10) jars of Mayonnaise at once with the same star quality as the egg used. This is the only case where the star quality of the ingredient matters.
