The only way to have a building moved to a different location is to demolish it. To demolish a building that houses animals inside, they must first be relocated. This ensures that animals aren't lost in the process. Having any of these buildings demolished will not give you the resources back.

Petting your animals once a day will give you an indication of their mood. To keep animals happy pet them daily, and make sure they have food before the day ends. Hay can be gathered from feed bins inside barns and coops provided the player has built a silo. Building a silo before building animal buildings can make care much easier.

Animals prefer to eat fresh grass, and will eat that instead of hay when it's available. Keeping a grass patch for animals to graze in will maximize their potential happiness. Make sure to cut down whatever grass is growing with a scythe before winter, as it will be buried under snow and only hay can be used to feed animals in winter.

Silo

It's recommended to build a silo before a coop to make care of animals easier. It will allow the player to collect and store hay, and make hay available from a dispenser in the farm buildings.

After obtaining a silo, cut grass with your scythe. This will generate hay in your silo. Now enter your coop and on left side, grab the hay. Now place the hay on the beds to allow your chicken to produce eggs. Alternatively you can fence in the coop and let the chickens go out and eat grass. Each silo you have can store up to 240 hay.

To obtain a Void Chicken; in a random event after you sleep a witch will fly over one of your coops, leaving you with a void egg in the morning. Putting that egg into an incubator will result in hatching a void chicken. Alternatively, you can buy a void egg from Marnie south of the farm.
