Slimes produce Slime Balls in a Slime Hutch on a daily basis, but only if the water troughs are filled. The Slime Balls spawn overnight, one slime ball per filled water trough (emptying the water trough), even if slimes cannot reach the water troughs because of obstacles placed in the hutch. There must be at least five slimes of either gender present before Slime Balls can be produced. An additional Slime Ball is produced for every five additional slimes, up to a maximum of four per day per Slime Hutch. Slime Balls cannot spawn on crafted flooring.
The Slime Ball can be right-clicked to release multiple 
Slime items. Slime balls also have a rare chance to have Petrified Slime inside.
Bugs
When loading from Mobile-specific Save files (both Emergency Saves and Backup Saves), water troughs in Slime Hutches, are always empty. Therefore, Slime Balls will never spawn the following morning. To reliably produce Slime Balls on mobile versions of the game, it is best to fill water troughs at the end of the day, shortly before going to sleep.
