Slimes produce Slime Balls in a Slime Hutch on a daily basis, but only if the water troughs are filled. There must be either one male and one female slime or at least five slimes of one gender present before Slime Balls can be produced. Slime Balls cannot spawn on crafted flooring, and slimes do not need to be able to reach the water troughs to produce slime balls.
The Slime Ball can be right-clicked to release multiple 24px Slimes drops. Slime balls also have a rare chance to have Petrified Slime inside.
