A Coffee Bean is both a crop and a plantable seed in Stardew Valley. Coffee Beans grow and mature 10 days after being planted (and every 2 days thereafter) in either Spring or Summer. Placing 5 Coffee Beans inside a Keg will produce Coffee.
They have a rare chance to drop from Dust Sprites (about 1%). They can also be purchased from the Travelling Cart (1/4 chance to be an item sold at the Travelling Cart).
When harvested, each plant gives four beans every two days when fully grown, making it one of the better choices for spring and summer, at least money-wise. Basic Fertilizer and Quality Fertilizer only affect the first bean from every harvest, which means 3 out of 4 beans harvested from each bush are going to be regular quality crops. That makes Deluxe Speed-Gro an optimal fertilizer for this crop, as it gives one extra harvest before the Fall (assuming planting on day 1 of either spring or summer), increasing season earnings from Coffee Beans by roughly 10% compared to non-fertilized crops. Regular Speed-Gro is not recommended because it yields the same number of harvests as non-fertalized crops at a higher cost.
