Gold Ore is a resource that can be placed in a furnace, along with coal, to create a Gold Bar. Each bar requires 5 gold ore and one coal to create, taking about five in-game hours.
Gold ore can be mined from gold nodes in the Mines at levels 80+ and has a chance to spawn in the Quarry. Gold ore is also a rare drop by ghosts and skeletons before level 80. Other random sources of gold ore are fishing treasure chests and beachfront Artifact Spots.
Gold ore can be sold for 
25g each. You can also get gold ore for 400g each from Clint, totaling 2,000g per bar.
