Achievements
Achievements in Stardew Valley are displayed in Steam, and can unlock specific rewards within the game. While each achievement must only be unlocked once for display in Steam, they must be unlocked separately in each new game for all other rewards. In the collections tab, only already earned and the next available achievement will be displayed for those that are part of a series, such as earning a certain total amount.
Most achievements unlock a unique hat for sale at the abandoned house in Cindersap Forest. Mousing over each available hat in the vendor list will display the associated achievement which unlocked it.
Note: The internal achievement ID is shown for reference. It appears in the game code and data file (Content\Data\Achievements.xnb)

Notes
The crops that must be shipped for the Polyculture Achievement ("ship 15 of each crop") do not include Flowers, Fruit Tree Fruit, Forage (with the exception of Grapes), Ancient Fruit or Sweet Gem Berries. However, as of version 1.1, you also need to ship 15 Coffee Beans to unlock the achievement.
