The Chicken is an animal in Stardew Valley. It comes in two varieties: White and Brown. It is obtained by either purchasing it from Marnie or by putting an egg in an incubator.
Produce
The Chicken will produce an Egg or Brown Egg every morning, though both of these sell for 
25g. Once sufficient friendship is reached, they can produce a Large Egg or Large Brown Egg which sells for 50g.
Selling
It is possible to sell the Chicken. The amount of gold obtained for doing so is dependent on how many hearts the animal has. The more hearts; the higher amount of gold fetched for selling it. The amount of gold obtained for selling a maximum-heart Chicken is 1,040g.
