Rice Shoots are a type of seed. Mature plants yield Unmilled Rice. Unmilled Rice is harvested using a Scythe.

Rice Shoots can be purchased at Pierre's General Store starting in year 2, from the Magic Shop Boat at the Night Market on Winter 15 (starting in year 2), and occasionally from the Traveling Cart. They can also be obtained in Fishing Treasure Chests, Artifact Spots, by using the Seed Maker, or as a drop from monsters in the mine.

Rice Shoots take only 6 days to mature and do not require watering if planted between 3 tiles of a Farm Pond in any direction, otherwise they will take 8 days to mature. Rice paddies do not need to be continuous or begin next to the pond to receive the pond benefits.

Stages

When harvested, each Rice Shoot gives 1 Unmilled Rice, with a random chance to produce extra Unmilled Rice.
