Ancient Seeds are a type of seed, not to be confused with an Ancient Seed artifact. Ancient Seeds grow into plants that yield Ancient Fruit when mature. Ancient Seeds can be purchased at the Traveling Cart (1.26% chance to appear).
Ancient Seeds can also be obtained from Ancient Fruit by using a Seed Maker. Whenever the Seed Maker is used with any crop other than Ancient Fruit, there is also a very small chance (0.5%) to obtain 1-3 Ancient Seeds instead of the crop's seeds.
Once you donate an Ancient Seed artifact to the Museum, you can claim a packet of Ancient Seeds from Gunther as a reward. You will also be given a crafting recipe by which you can craft Ancient Seeds from an Ancient Seed artifact.
Ancient Seeds cannot be planted in Garden Pots.
