Stardew Valley Fair

The Stardew Valley Fair takes place on the 16th of Fall every year at 9:00AM at the Pelican Town Square.

There are several games where you can gain Star Tokens, a currency that can be exchanged for prizes at the Shop near the entrance to the Bus Stop.

The Fair also has a contest where you can show the products of the farm and gain Star Tokens. Talk to Mayor Lewis when you're ready to have the products judged.

The player can eat the food to refill their energy bar, but this won't be noticeable until you exit the festival.

150px	Fishing Minigame	data-sort-value="50">50g	Play the Fishing Minigame to catch fish. Each caught fish gives between 15 and 25 points. Any non-fish item caught gives 1 point. You will get bonus points for perfect catches. This is the most cost effective way to earn Star Tokens. It is possible to make over 200 Star Tokens per data-sort-value="50">50g spent. You can play as many times as you have money for.
150px	Slingshot Minigame	data-sort-value="50">50g	Shoot with your Slingshot the targets. Each target gives different points — red targets give 1 point, blue targets give 2 points, and purple targets give 5 points. At the end, you get a point multiplier based on your accuracy. An accuracy of 100% provides a 4x multiplier. It is possible to win 250 Star Tokens per data-sort-value="50">50g spent. You can play as many times as you have money for.
	Smashing Stone	Free	At the Smashing Stone you can test your strength by clicking the stone at the right moment when the bar hits the top or bottom. For hitting the top or bottom, you get one Star Token.
	Token Seller	data-sort-value="50">50g per Token	At the Star Token Seller, you can buy Star Tokens for data-sort-value="50">50g each. This is the least cost effective way to earn tokens, but time-wise, it is the quickest way.
	Clairvoyant Booth	data-sort-value="100">100g	At the Clairvoyance Booth, the Fortune Teller will tell you events from the future for data-sort-value="100">100g once. This information is based on the Social Status you have with the villagers. She will tell you something about whichever two villagers are at the top of your Social menu.
	Spinning Wheel	Varies	At the Spinning Wheel, you can bet Star Tokens on whether the spinner will land on green or orange. Some users have reported the spinner is much more likely to land on green than orange. You can use this to increase your winnings quickly. Source

Showcase

To participate, bring up to 9 items to put in the grange display which you feel showcase your abilities. You will be judged on the quality and diversity of your display, and rewarded tokens based on your place:

The points are calculated as follows:

• 14 points automatically.
• Each unique category (Animal Products, Minerals, Cooking, Fish, Foraging + Flowers + Tree Saps, Fruits, Vegetables, Artisan Goods) represented in your display earns 5 points, with a maximum of 30 points. This means you only need to fill 6 of these categories. Any items which do not fall into any of these categories will not earn additional 5 points.
• Normal quality items receive 1 point, silver star items receive 2 points, and gold star items receive 3 points.
• Each item gets 1 more point for each qualification they meet below:
  • sell value > 20g
  • sell value > 90g
  • sell value > 200g
  • sell value > 300g and quality < gold (means gold star items cannot earn this point)
  • sell value > 400g and quality < silver (means only items with no star can earn this point)
• Points based on how many items you submitted, according to the formula: 9-2x(Number of blank slots on display).
  This means:
  • 9 items = 9 points
  • 8 items = 7 points
  • 7 items = 5 points
  • 6 items = 3 points
  • 5 items = 1 points
  • 4 items = -1 points
  • 3 items = -3 points
  • 2 items = -5 points
  • 1 items = -7 points
  • 0 items = -9 points

The maximum value of an item is 6 points - a no star item with sell value of at least 400g, a silver star item with at least a sell value of 300g or a gold star item with a sell value of at least 200g.

It's always better to try and fill all 9 spots, even if the items are trash, since leaving any spot empty will lessen your overall score.

Assuming you're able to organize 9 items with 6 points and with at least 6 unique categories, the highest theoretical score is 107.

Once the judging is done, make sure to retrieve your items from the table, as it does not automatically return. You can still play games at the fair after the showcase.
