The Scythe is a tool obtained at the beginning of the game that is used to cut grass, weeds, and young trees. It is also required for harvesting certain crops (i.e., Amaranth, Kale, Wheat).
If the player has a Silo, cutting each plot of Grass growing on the Farm gives a 50% chance of adding a piece of hay to the silo.
A Scythe may be used as a weapon to inflict a small amount of damage. Using a Scythe does not consume energy.
Unlike other tool the Scythe can not be upgraded at the Blacksmith. Upgraded versions can only be obtained be reaching certain requirements.
The Golden Scythe can only be found once the Quarry is unlocked, and the Iridium Scythe can only be unlocked once the Player has obtained Farming Mastery.
