The Spring Onion is found via foraging in Spring in Cindersap Forest in the area north of the Sewer entrance. The Livin' Off The Land Television channel airs a tip about Spring Onions on day 4. Spring Onions also can be purchased from Traveling Cart for data-sort-value="8"100–1,000g.

The spring onions are a really useful source of the energy early game, when the player has limited ways to get food.

After obtaining Spring Onion Mastery, the sell price of Spring Onions is permanently increased by 5x.

Exploit

There is a bug that can be exploited with those Spring Onion early in game. You can gather them even with a full inventory, as long as you already have 1 or more Spring Onions in your inventory. The game code seem to change the Quality of the item each times you try to pick it up. Hence, if you have a full inventory and 1 Silver or Gold Spring Onion in your inventory, just keep mashing the pick up button until the game lets you pick up the Spring Onion, which will be now Silver or Gold quality.
