The Taro Root is a vegetable crop that grows from Taro Tuber after 10 days, or 7 days if the crop is planted near water. Taro Root plants do not need to be watered if they are planted near water.

Tailoring
A Taro Root can be used in the spool of the Sewing Machine to create the dyeable Shirt And Belt. It can be used in dyeing, serving as an orange dye at the dye pots, located in Emily's and Haley's house, 2 Willow Lane.
Quests
- Caroline may request 100 Taro Roots in the "Island Ingredients" Special Order. The reward is gold equivalent to 50% of base crop price and the Solar Panel recipe.
Trivia
After harvesting a Taro Root, the ground underneath it will remain watered for the rest of the day.
