Template:Monster Lava Crabs are an enemy found in The Mines.
Behavior
They disguise themselves as stones, sometimes surprising the player. When immobile they are invulnerable to attack.
Strategy
Attacking in rapid succession will allow the player to kill the crab before it hides and becomes invulnerable to attack. Striking a crab with a pickaxe will knock the crab back and cause them to flee. Striking it multiple times with a pickaxe will remove its stone protection, leaving it permanently vulnerable to attacks. Alternatively, this can also be achieved with a bomb:
To identify a crab, look for rocks without shadows.
