The Pearl is a special item that can be obtained during the Night Market Festival. There is a 0.4% chance to catch it while fishing in the Fishing Submarine. Otherwise, it can be obtained inside the Mermaid Boat by clicking on the clam shells in the correct sequence. The correct sequence is listed in Secret Note #15. (Click below to see the sequence.)

Only one Pearl may be obtained from the Mermaid Boat per player per save file. Other Pearls may be obtained by fishing in the submarine ride at the Night Market, in the chum bucket of a Fish Pond containing at least 9 Blobfish, or in Artifact Troves. One pearl may also be obtained after reading Journal Scrap #6 and digging at the site pictured in the scrap. After activating the Shrine of Challenge, a pearl can be found by foraging in the Mines.
One Pearl may be obtained from Willy after filling a Fish Pond with 10 Crabs.
Pearls cannot be replicated in a Crystalarium.
The Desert Trader in the Calico Desert will trade a Birch Double Bed for a Pearl.
