Ice Rod is a trinket item dropped by enemies.
The Ice Rod shoots an orb of ice every X seconds, freezing any enemies in its path for Y seconds. These values are randomly determined on drop, and can be changed if reforged using an Anvil. The time between shots is a random value between 3 and 5 seconds, and the freeze duration is a random value between 2 and 4 seconds. These are determined to the millisecond, and with all possible values equally likely.[1]
When dropped or reforged, there is a 5% chance[1] for the Ice Rod to become "Perfect", changing its name to "Perfect Ice Rod". This variant fires every 3 seconds, and freezes for 4 seconds. A Perfect variant can be obtained through combat as well.

Trivia
- It is technically possible, although extremely unlikely (less than a 1-in-42-million chance) to receive an Ice Rod with perfect stats - i.e. a 3000 millisecond delay between shots, and a freeze duration of 4000 milliseconds, without it being a "Perfect Ice Rod".
