Haley lives with her sister Emily, and together they care for their parents home, who have been traveling the world for the past two years. Haley is friends with Alex.

When you have sufficient hearts with Haley and give her the bouquet of flowers, she accepts them with a blush and replies, "...!! I'll accept this. Thank you."
If you are using mods that allow you to increase your affinity towards players, it is possible to view heart events out of order. If you do not want to view heart events out of order, don't increase your affinity for one person by more than 2 hearts without first encountering a heart event.
Two Hearts
Enter Haley and Emily's home in the AM.
Details
Haley and Emily are having a fight over cleaning the couch cushions that the player interrupts. Haley is upset that Emily is refusing to clean the cushions this week when Haley had cleaned them in the previous week. Emily thinks Haley is being childish. The player is tasked with resolving the conflict. There are three choices:
The answer selected will affect her affection meter (look at Social).
• "Stop whining and just clean it!" -50 friendship points. Haley angrily storms off and Emily cleans the cushions.
• "Haley, why not have this be your one weekly job?" +30 friendship points. Both agree, although Haley isn't ecstatic about it.
• "Emily, take the high road and do it this time." -30 friendship points. Haley becomes upset that the player implies she is being childish. Emily cleans the cushions.
Four Hearts
Enter Haley's home.
Details
Haley is struggling to open a jar. She asks the player to open the jar for her.
• "Yes" +30 friendship points.
• "No." -30 friendship points.
After opening the jar, Haley tells the player that the player is stronger than they look. Usually, the next day, she will tell the player that she got a tool to open jars for her.
Six Hearts
Visit the beach.
Details
Haley has lost her great-grandmother's bracelet and the player tries finding it for her. The response will affect her affection level.
• "Relax, I'll just buy you a new one!" -30 friendship points.
• "I'm really sorry..." +50 friendship points.
The bracelet is located to the right of Elliott's Cabin on the beach behind a shrub. After returning the bracelet, Haley hugs the player, thanking them and telling them she won't forget what they've done.
Haley is taking photos of herself and the player with the cows on the ranch. She will ask the player to take photos of her on one of the cows, then make an attempt to ride one. She falls off and gets covered in dirt. She giggles and leaves to go home.
Ten Hearts
Visit Haley's house while she's home.
Details
Haley invites the player into her dark room (for developing photos).
• "It looks great!" +10 friendship points.
• "What does it do?" no change in friendship points.
• "I've seen better." -50 friendship points.
Haley asks the player what they want to do now.
• Offer to help decorate the dark room. -Ends the scene and disappoints Haley (friendship loss?)
• Make an excuse and leave.
• Try to kiss her. - Oh, [Playername]... I've been waiting so long for you to do that. One moment... (Haley flips a switch, the room goes mostly black except where player and Haley are standing). The two lean in closer for a kiss. Scene ends with player standing in the living room, Haley in the kitchen. If player talks to her, she says "That was nice.".
Marriage
Haley's room.
Once married, Haley will move into the farmhouse. Like other marriage candidates, she will add her own room off to the side of the bedroom. This room is not editable, and has no functional items in it.
Haley will also help around the farm doing tasks such as
Watering all of your crops,
Repairing fences,
and Watering your pets bowl.

Haley's personality drastically changes the more hearts you have with her. She starts off saying that she "hates this small town" and talks endlessly about malls and shopping. At seven to ten hearts, she talks about donating her clothes to charity and saying she's glad the town is small, because if it was any bigger it wouldn't be a community.
Even though Haley's ten heart scene is all about her dark room, a new dark room is not included in her added room after marriage.
In the "pink cake" episode of "Queen of Sauce", The Queen says that "A girl named Haley from Stardew valley writes "I tried your pink cake in Zuzu city, and it was delicious! Can you feature it on your show?""
According to Emily, Haley might be allergic to wild horseradish.
