Giant Stump

The Giant Stump is located in the northern area of Cindersap Forest to the west of Marnie's Ranch.

It begins as a very large tree with no notable attributes. It becomes the Giant Stump after the strong wind storm random event fells the tree which grants access to "The Giant Stump" quest. Later, it becomes the home to a raccoon, his wife, and their children over the course of the raccoon's requests questline.

Questline

Note: After "The Giant Stump" quest, the rest isn't a true "quest" as it is not one of the journaled Quests but, rather a series of interactable requests, similar to those requests given by the Trash Bear.

Pre-habitation

After the strong wind storm random event occurs, the resulting stump has a "?" dialog which may be interacted with to start "The Giant Stump" quest in which the player must repair the stump with 100 Hardwood.

Raccoon's Subsequent Requests

The day after the stump is repaired, a raccoon moves in. Following this, he has a series of 8 requests for items, each yielding a different reward. The requested items often required the use of a Dehydrator, Fish Smoker, Preserves Jar, or Keg.

After completing 8 requests, the Good Neighbors Achievement will be earned, but the player can continue to complete addition requests for rewards afterwards.

The smoked fish requested must be a fish that can be caught in the same season as the raccoon request. With the exception of Smoked Salmon in Fall which has double the chance of being requested as the rest of the eligible Fall fish, every eligible Smoked Fish type has equal probability to be requested.

Raccoon's Wife's Shop

After completing the raccoon's first request, his wife may be interacted with to access her shop. Her shop does not use Gold, but rather barters for other items.
