Hardwood is a type of resource in Stardew Valley. It is obtained by chopping a Large Stump with a Copper Axe or better or a Large Log with a Steel Axe or better.

Six (6) Large Stumps respawn daily in the Secret Woods, making it possible to obtain 12 Hardwood per day. It can also be received as loot by breaking barrels and boxes in the Mines.

Uses

Hardwood can be used on a variety of different things, including building and upgrading buildings with the Carpenter, as well as crafting various items.

• Hardwood is needed for the Community Center's Construction Bundle.
• Hardwood is also used in constructing the Stable and Farmhouse Upgrade 2, requiring 100 and 150 hardwood, respectively.
