Stone is a basic resource obtained by mining rocks with a pickaxe. Stone can also be purchased from Robin at the Carpenter's Shop for data-sort-value="20">Gold.png20g each, or found in Fishing Treasure Chests. Stone Golems and Gray Slimes also drop Stone. Fifty stones can also be received as a gift from Robin at the Feast of the Winter Star. Stone may also be obtained by digging up an Artifact Spot.

Normal rocks yield between 1 and 3 stones. Boulders yield 10 stones.

Stone is used in various crafting recipes and is also required as a form of payment when purchasing certain buildings and building upgrades at the Carpenter's Shop.

Strategy

One method to quickly obtain a large quantity of stone is to mine large rocks at The Mines. Enter the Mines and go down the ladder to the first level. Mine any large rocks you see, ignoring all smaller ones. Once finished, go back up the ladder to the Mine entrance and then immediately back down to level one again. Since the levels are randomly generated everytime you enter them, there will always be a chance for more large rocks to spawn. By constantly "refreshing" the first level and mining only large rocks, you can effectively gain over 500 stone in a day.
