Purple Slimes in the Skull Cavern or Slime Hutch have a chance to drop Iridium Bars and Ore when slain. Shadow Shaman and Shadow Brutes can also drop an Iridium Bar when slain (0.2% chance). Iridium Bats may drop one as well (0.8% chance). Iridium Golems on the Wilderness Farm map have a 3% chance of dropping an Iridium Bar, and a 3% chance of dropping a second one. It can also be found in Golden Fishing Treasure Chests (7% chance).[1]

An Iridium Bar is used in the spool of the Sewing Machine with Cloth in the feed to create an   Iridium Breastplate. It is an iridium dye when used in the spool of the Sewing Machine with a dyeable clothing item in the feed. It can be placed in the purple dye pot at Emily's and Haley's house for use in dyeing.
